Does coffee cause acne?
That Coffee
stimulates is well known but does it cause acne, is
ambiguous .We shall review some related aspects for fact
finding. Coffee contains,
caffeine;
an alkaloid
which is a class of chemicals known as a stimulant. There
are no two opinions about that caffeine stimulates the
central nervous system giving you an energetic feel of
wakefulness and wellness. The active ingredient of coffee
is caffeine that is responsible for effects of coffee on
skin.
How caffeine
stimulates?
Caffeine
stimulates the central nervous system with consequent
acceleration of most of the body functions. Production of
harmonies is a routine activity which is enhanced by
using coffee on account of the contained active
ingredient; caffeine.
Hormones regulate the production of sebum; the oil for
hairs but increased harmonies, increase the production of
this oil too.
Sebum with
accumulated extraneous matter, dead cell fragments
and bio load, plugs the hair follicles and causes acne.
Coffee consumption on account of the consequent increased
production of harmonies and then sebum is responsible to
cause acne.
Does caffeine cause
acne?
Coffee dries
the skin which needs more than usual sebum to keep it
moist. This demand is met with increased production of
sebum which aggravates acne condition. To make up the
loss of water and to wet dry skin, people tend to top up
the reduced level with more
coffee.
Dry skin is
the consequence of coffee consumption which is repeated
to top up for moistening and in this way a vicious circle
is set up which favours acne
proliferation.

How not to cause
acne while consuming
coffee?
Some clinical
aestheticians strongly
recommend ample consumption of water as corrective and
preventive measure. Water is transpired through purpose
made pores in human skin. These pores are connected with
sweat glands and should not be confused with hair
follicles through which the hair
emerge.
Since both the
sweat glands and hair follicle are situated in immediate
vicinity of one another, their exudates; perspiration and
sebum have the tendency to intermingle. Furthermore an
addition of degenerated skin cells and pus cells
containing extraneous matter make the clogging
material.
