Can coffee cause acne?
There
have been no conclusive findings or facts to prove that acne
can be caused by coffee. The question of “Can coffee cause
acne?” is no because there is no scientific evidence that have
been established to prove this. The answer to this question is
still debatable because it doesn’t follow that when science
says no, then it really is a “no”.
Some
people find that there are certain types of foods and drinks
that can tend to cause acne for them. Some people who have some
allergic reactions to caffeine would answer yes to the question
of “Can caffeine cause acne?"because this would hold true for
them or this is applicable to them.
Can caffeine cause
acne?
Caffeine is the substance found in coffee and
some beverages. Did you know that caffeine is actually a drug?
It is a drug that has a stimulant effect and is a light
diuretic. This is the reason why coffees are a favorite among
people who finds that they are very lethargic in the morning
especially just after they have just waked
up.
Caffeine is also the cause why some people would
need to urinate often after drinking lots of sodas. Caffeine
has been used for centuries since it comes from a natural
source like the coffee Arabica plant that produces the coffee
beans, in the tea leaves and even in cacao plant that is a main
ingredient for chocolates.
There
are some people who would answer yes when they are asked if
“Can coffee cause acne?” because there is also a theory that
states that caffeine in the body would release hormones that
would stimulate the oil glands in the body and face thus
causing acne.

So if
you have acne, it would be advisable to wash your face with
lukewarm water before washing your face with a mild cleanser or
facial scrub so that the pore will be opened to allow thorough
cleansing. After cleansing your opened skin pores, it should be
closed again by washing your face with mildly cold
water.
It is
not advisable to use harsh soaps and cleansers because this
could irritate the skin condition leading to severe skin
problem. Since we all have different skin types, there would
also be different ways to treat acnes depending on the type of
skin that you have. When a person has effectively eliminated
their acne problems, it wouldn’t necessarily mean that you
would also be able to cure your acne problems using the same
solution because you may have different skin
types.
Regardless
of whether coffee can really cause acne or not, it would still
be best to limit your caffeine intake to a minimal level. Some
people wouldn’t even know that the foods they are eating or the
drinks that they are taking in have caffeine as one of the
active ingredients. Caffeine is actually an addictive drug
aside from being a stimulant. Caffeine is even used often in
energy drinks, pain killers and some flu
remedies.
